The Firth of Forth scarf is named after the Scottish bridge, reflecting the iconic shape of its structure. The scarf is perfect for early autumn days, when you just need a bit of extra toastiness around your neck in the misty early morning, but don't want to have to carry around a big scarf when the sun comes out later on. Simple to knit, the dropped stitch pattern grows quickly to create an airy and warm scarf. The scarf in the photo is knitted in Jillybean handpainted Bluefaced Leicester and Gotland blend. However any fingering weight yarn will be suitable. The yarn used is variegated, which adds interest to the pattern without overwhelming it. The finished scarf measures 14cm by 124cm. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit stitch, yarn forward SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 14cm by 124cm SUGGESTED YARN 100 yards of Fingering weight

Recommended with this pattern
