A unisex scarf that is a perfect beginner project! It only requires knitting and purling, but the combination of stitches creates a lovely checkerboard pattern with asymmetric sections for some pizzazz. It is a great project for gift-giving, and is classic and unisex so it will suit everyone from your brother to the mail carrier to a favorite teacher.
