I love handknit, Norwegian style Christmas stockings! Stockings are not a tradition of Norway but the stars, roses and geometric designs of Norwegian knitwear sure look good on a Christmas stocking. This special stocking has a beautiful snowflake design which is quick to knit in a bulky weight yarn. Finished size, about 14" in circumference x 23" long, will hold lots of goodies! Sample is knit in Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Bulky, 85% Wool, 15% Mohair, 125 yards / 113 grams BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY cast on, knit with 2 colors, picking up stitches, decreasing, following a chart GAUGE 3sts/inch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 14" circumference, 23" long top to toe SUGGESTED YARN 125 yards of Bulky weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Bulky

Thank you for your patronage! I learned to knit when I was about 6 or 7 years old. It soon became a passion that I have honed over the years by knitting for myself, my husband and our 8 children as well as many other friends and family members. Our first grandchild is drowning in knits! I taught most of our children how to knit and have taught others through my LYS over the past several years. I love sharing my passion with other knitters! My latest projects have often included lace and Norwegian designs that look more difficult than they really are, Honest! I started designing patterns to use in the classes I was teaching. Because of that many of my patterns are for basics. The knitting muse has been taking me to new things lately though! I hope you enjoy seeing what I am doing. Thanks for your interest in my work. Happy knitting! Denise
