This beautiful knitted bag is full of learning opportunities. It is patterned in a "Fair Isle" manner, though it is knitted flat to give the knitter experience in a variety of techniques. (If you'd rather, circular directions are also included.) Supplies Needed

  • Rauma Strikkegarn or other DK weight (100% wool; 115 yd [105 m]/50g): 164 (brown), 181 (rust), 146 (gold), 150 (yellow), 184 (teal), 178 (moss green), 198 (light green), 128 (wine red), 1 skein each.
  • Size 1 (2.25 mm) needles and size 3 (3.25 mm), or size needed to obtain gauge.
  • Markers (m), tapestry needle, scissors.
