PATTERN DETAILS

Elia is worked in the round from the bottom up to the armscyes, where it is split into front and back sections and worked back and forth in rows. It features a shawl collar and set in sleeves (worked flat), with identical cable panels on both the front and back of the sweater. Waist shaping is incorporated into the Stockinette stitch panels that run up the sides of the sweater, for a fitted look. The sample is waist length, but instructions are given for lengthening the bodice by 3 1/2" / 9 cm for those who prefer a longer pullover. Worked in Sunday Knit's Angelic 5-Ply, it is the perfect cozy yet stylish sweater for the cold months. The pattern is suitable for intermediate cable knitters. Please see specific required skills below. Instructions are both written and charted, and a detailed schematic is included. The pattern has been professionally tech edited to reduce the possibility for error, but if you have questions or believe that you have found an error, please contact me.
