Lace wraps and shawls are always popular, this rectangular wrap is a practical shape, well worth the time you'll invest in making it. Knitted in two lightweight yarns held together it will last for many years. This item should be gently hand washed in cold water. Time taken to complete: 20 - 25 hours depending on experience Size: 150cm x 40cm approx The pattern also includes instructions for making the knitted flower. The pattern for this wrap was commissioned by Craftseller magazine and appeared I issue 27. It comes with permission to make and sell finished items for profit, but the pattern copyright belongs to me. How to Make the Knitted Wrap You will need: 1 pair of 6 mm knitting needles 400m Kidsilk Haze (sample photographed is shade number 596 "Marmalade") 400m Lace weight yarn (sample phototgraphed is Debbie Bliss Rialto Lace, shade number 44026 "Coral") Suitable substitute yarns would be Debbie Bliss Angel and Rowan Fine Lace. Choose two similar shades or pick a paler lace weight to show off the mohair.
