In the 1920s, Eleanor Roosevelt (Oct. 11, 1884 - Nov. 7, 1962 ) worked with the Women's Trade Union League to advocate for women's and workers rights to establish a reasonable work week, minimum wage and to abolish child labor. As First Lady (1933-1945), she was vocal in supporting the civil rights movement and opportunities for minorities and women. She also served a delegate of the United Nations. Mrs. Roosevelt continued to play a very important role in domestic and international politics and in advancing human rights throughout her life. Eleanor Roosevelt is a slouchy cap with two ruched panels. The hat is worked flat then seamed together, then stitches for the visor are picked up from the brim and worked in the round. Instructions for several different accessories will allow you to personalize and change the the look of your hat.
