This listing is for my dolphin pattern pdf, his name is Sifiso, meaning 'Hope' in the Zulu language. He is knitted in Aran weight yarn on size 4.5mm needles. He is knitted in the round on circular needles with the magic loop technique but can also be knitted with double pointed needels (DPNs) His body is knitted in 1 piece and the flippers and fin are knitted separately and sewn on. The eyes are needlefelted on with a felting needle and fleece or you could sew them on with yarn and a needle. Measurements: 7 inches from snout to end of tail, 4 inches tall. Some dolphin facts: Dolphins aren't fish, they are mammals, warm blooded, give birth to live young and feed their calves milk. They breathe air through a blow hole on the top of their body unlike fish who have gills on the sides of their neck area. Dolphins are very social and swim together in large groups called pods. They are very intelligent creatures. *** PLEASE NOTE: Please note, this pattern is for personal use only, and not for resale, items knitted from this pattern MAY be sold on condition that, I, Linda Dawkins, Mamma4earth am credited as the designer and you link to my shop No production line selling of this item is allowed, thank you. I have always loved knitting, my mom taught me to knit when I was 5 years old. I live in South Africa with my wonderful husband and our four children. We have a little suburban homestead where we grow veggies and fruit and live a sustainable lifestyle. We have a whole troop of chickens, rabbits, cats, birds, fish and a Labrador called Sandy. I love to create designs of animals. I look at their shape, watch their movement and then I can see a pattern of stitches forming before my eyes, its like magic! Have an inspired day. Warmly Linda
