I loved my first diamond headband so much I wanted another. This time however, I narrowed it a bit so that I could wear it even when I wasn't wanting to hold all my hair back. Made with double stranded yarn, it is just as warm as the original and keeps the cold off my ears. It is very sturdy and does not loose shape easily. This time the border is knit and added into the original design, and its pebbly look compliments the main pattern stitch very nicely. This headband will quickly become a classic and a favorite! I have already received several requests from family and friends wanting one of their very own. It will make an excellent Christmas present! Please note: The original pattern calls for a crochet cast on (so that cast on and bind off match) but any other cast on may be substituted for those who don't crochet. My granny taught me the basics of crochet when I was 5 & I have learned the rest on my own, mostly through books. I also taught myself how to knit a few years ago. And I taught a crochet class for awhile until I had my youngest son. I would love to open my own yarn store someday, as our closet one is about 50 miles away. I have been a happy yarn crafter for over 20 years! :)
