PATTERN DETAILS

A fun and easy project ~ for yourself or to gift! An easy stitch pattern shows off the modular construction of this scarf, while the sequined yarn captures the shine of a precious jewel. Warm, cozy and a bit retro ~ knit this scarf in "Soft Payette" by Rozetti, as shown, or try it in a variegated, hand-painted, or even a self-striping colorway. The knotted fringe can be made as long or short as you like. I really like the length of this scarf, and the diagonal lines. It's long enough to wrap numerous ways and the modular construction keeps it an interesting knit. Knotting the fringe is fun too! You can use any 'knot' design you like ~ or just let it 'hang loose'. Photography by Shane Baskin / Blackbox Studios BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit purl increase & decrease picking up stitches GAUGE 17 sts and 24 rows = 4 inches in Scarf pattern stitch. I've been a 'crafter' all my life, and especially enjoy fiber arts. My first professional design was published in 2005, and since then I've had my designs published in knit.wear, Knitscene, Creative Knitting, Love of Knitting, Knitcircus, Twist Collective, Three Irish Girls Yarns, Universal Yarns, and Cascade Yarns, along with several books by DRG Publications. When not knitting, thinking about knitting or dreaming up new designs, I love spending time with my husband and pets, in the high plains of Colorado where we live.
