As I was designing this I was reminded of the celtic carvings on the stones of tiny Devenish Island in Northern Ireland, with the blue of Lough Erne glistening in the background. This stylish tam o'shanter is the perfect marriage of fashion and function, especially when paired with the matching Devenish tunic. Eileen Casey is a designer from Ireland now living in beautiful upstate NY - where thankfully there is plenty of sweater weather. She has been knitting since she was 5, and couldn't imagine life without needles in hand. Past projects bring memories of life events back to her as vividly as certain scents do for others. Right now she tries to fit knitting and designing around looking after her two preschool daughters - secretly hoping that soon they'll be able to do the sample knitting for her!
