Pattern Details

This close-fitting hat is worked with either a heavy worsted yarn held double or a super-bulky yarn. The daisy motif is a little fiddly to work, but only for two roundsand after that, the rest goes really quickly! This pattern is also available to purchase as a set with the matching mittens! Yarn substitution note: The recommended yarn is an Aran/heavy worsted weight. When held double, it works up to a super-bulky yarn. If substituting, you will need about 160 yards (122 meters) of Aran/heavy worsted weight yarn or 80 yards (61 meters) of super-bulky weight yarn. I gravitate toward designs with clean lines and contemporary (but not too contemporary!) stylings. I strive to make my designs available to knitters in as wide a range of sizes as possible. Things I love: cables, simple lace, strong lines, designs that look far more complicated to make than they actually are, and beautiful, saturated colors complementing each other in stripes or colorwork. Besides designing, I am also an aspiring fiction writer. I work on my novels for kids and young adults novel when I’m not knitting as fast as my hands will go.
