A collaboration between Bittersweet Woolery and SillyLittleLady, this pattern was first available as part of a Mystery KAL but is now available to everyone! Knitting can help a lost soul find their way through to creative productivity just as a compass guides a traveler. This shawl combines both in a deep, beautiful sea of lace dyed by the wonderful woman behind Bittersweet Woolery. This would be a good introductory project for the knitter who wants to try his/her hand at lace shawls as it's not too challenging and would also be good for the experienced knitter who wants pieces of meditative knitting to get them through. The majority of the shawl is knit with the lace pattern only on right side rows, purling the wrong sides but there is a small section in the middle where the pattern is worked on both right and wrong side rows, keeping it fresh through that middle stretch before the finish line comes into view halfway through. I’m a girl just trying to make her way in this world by doing what she’s passionate about. I love creating and knitting, math and the engineering of knitwear. Thanks for supporting my ventures and my life, I look forward to getting to know you :) I’ve been knitting for more than thirteen years and one of the greatest motivators for me to keep going is that every single stitch counts. The completed project needs every stitch to be knit. Every minute I spend on my business, even if I’ve only got one, helps push my brand, my passion and my career in the right direction. Inspiration comes to me from many places - color, texture, attitude - but most importantly I want to create things that are new, unique but still functional and not overly excessive. My items cater to the colorful, young at heart with their own sense of style and value.
