Named for the delicate two-colored flower, this simple two-colored camisole with lace edges is perfect for summer picnics. It's also a nice travel project as it is worked flat from the bottom up. Lace is added from a provisional cast-on down to the bottom edge, and upward from open stitches. The lace edging is easy to memorize and can be blocked as rounded scallops or soft waves. My grandmothers were the reason I love hand-work and crafts so much. As soon as I was able to manage a needle and thread, they gave me craft-related responsibilities abound. My earliest crafting photo is me at 5 years old sitting atop a table making a foam cake base in deep concentration, craft glue in one hand and crepe paper in the other. Now, I'm an illustrator and designer with dabblings in knitwear design and typography.
