Simple, stylish, easy. Three words which describe this gorgeous sweater to a tee. No frills, no fuss. Cocteau makes a statement with tidy lines, slim fit and the envelope neck, which is a simple solution to the age old problem of getting that sweater over the baby's head. Colour pops in just the right places, a flash of colour at the hem, wrist and neck. Worked in the round from the hem up, the sleeves are knitted on after the body is finished. No seaming required! Economical on yarn, the first 5 sizes use less than one skein of the nominated yarn, small amounts of leftovers can be used for the trims. I love designing knitwear for babies and older kids too, I'm inspired by the world around me, whether it's the green bush covered hills where I live, or the bright city lights and sparkling harbor. I try to find a way to incorporate traditional, modern and whimsical elements into every garment I design. Children need to be comfortable and relaxed in their clothing, they need the opportunity to jump and run and paint without restriction. I try to design with these qualities in mind.
