PATTERN DETAILS

Char is a classic-looking glove designed for maximum durability. Sock yarn and a textured slip stitch pattern create a strong fabric that remains sophisticated enough for daily wear. They're visually attractive without being too ornamental, and the slip stitch pattern is the perfect showcase for hand-dyed yarns. A braided rib cuff keeps wrists snug and warm, while the left and right hands are worked differently for the best fit possible. Simple but engaging stitch patterns and clear instructions make this a very accessible pattern. I'm Andrea and I make great knitting patterns! I live on Vancouver Island in Canada, where I knit, design, and ride my bike. I love the functionality and beauty of knitting and knit everything from head to toe. My patterns have been published in Brooklyn Tweed Wool People, Twist Collective, Interweave Knits, Knitscene, Knitty, and other publications, as well as independently. I'm working on a book called Rugged Knits with Interweave that's scheduled to come out in the spring of 2016. All of my independently-published patterns have been thoroughly tested and edited for clarity and accuracy.
