The Knitting Needle
My Pattern Store on Craftsy is all about my mom. She had a passion for knitting that spanned decades. Her designing was born of necessity, as she was widowed at 30 with two small boys and a newborn (me) to raise. It just seemed natural for her to take her passion and turn it into a career. She established her business "The Knitting Needle" in the early 70's and continued to design until she was 85. It was her dream that I assume her role as owner, and designer, of the business that she had such a passion for. Most of the patterns that you will find in my store are my moms designs. Patterns designed by me will also be inspired in her memory. Thank you, mom. Happy Knitting, Jan
