Pattern Details

I will donate all of the proceeds from this pattern to the American Cancer Society. As of 31 December 2017, I have donated $27.60. This earwarmer is quick to knit and can be embellished any way you want. It is worked flat and then seamed together in the back. Rows are knit across the long dimension, and short rows are added in the center to create extra width. Stashbuster alert - this pattern uses less than 100 yards of worsted weight yarn. You have that lying around already, right? The finished circumference is 18", and it will stretch to fit most adults. I originally designed this earwarmer to help my friend Paula and her team in the McKinney, TX Relay for Life, benefitting the American Cancer Society. They added ribbons, patches and pins to jazz them up and sell as a team fundraiser. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit and purl short rows GAUGE 20 sts/24 rows = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 18" circumference unstretched SUGGESTED YARN 100 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Ella Rae Classic

Recommended with this pattern

I've crocheted just about my whole life. I taught myself to knit in the early 2000s and haven't slowed down since. I've also gone through counted cross-stitch and needlepoint periods. I almost always modify knitting patterns I like, so in 2011 I started designing and publishing my own patterns. All of the patterns that I sell have been tech edited and test knit before release.
