PATTERN DETAILS

This cozy cap transitions from from mistake rib to fishermen rib. By mixing different weights of yarn you can create your own unique blend. Yarn Specifics: Aran weight (if solid) - or - 3 strands 4-ply (if marled) - or - 1 strand 4-ply plus 1 strand DK (if marled) The yarn I used for the cap pictures was from Shetland Organics. I used 1 strand of their 2-ply in light grey, plus 1 strand of their 2-ply in smirslett. The weight of the 2-ply was comparable to a slightly thicker 4-ply weight. This is an exclusive pattern from the Autumn/Winter 2012-13 collection of Kristen Orme knitwear. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knit in the Round Decrease Long-tail Cast-on GAUGE 16 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches or 10 cm SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 19 inches around, relaxed
