These mittens were designed to be BEAUTIFUL and practical (with the long double cuffs). They are a fashion statement. Bold colors and a unique design make the child who wears them feel loved, warm, and very special. These mittens don't require a lot of yarn. Use the yarns suggested (Peace Fleece, Cascade 220, and Plymouth) in Worsted Weight, or use what you have on hand - any worsted weight yarn will do. You will want to make several pairs! The pattern is 5 pages long, and includes 16 instructional, close-up photos to show just what you need to know. NOTE: This pattern comes with 2 Bonus Versions: Honey Bee and Ladybug!! - 3 patterns in one! Happy Knitting! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic Knitting skills of Knit & Purl stitches. Adding & decreasing stitches (descriptions are in the pattern). Using double pointed needles - no side seams! This pattern has many instructional photos. GAUGE Body: 9 sts = 2", 15 rows = 2" Cuff: 10-12 sts = 2", 14 rows = 2" SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Two sizes: 3-4 year old (length w/ cuff 7.25") 5-6 year old (length w/ cuff 8").

I am very much a visual learner, and color is the most important art element to me. I always notice color first. I am an elementary school Visual Arts teacher, K-8.
