I designed this 18" x 18" cushion cover using a bulky /#5 yarn. The envelope closure is secured with three buttons allowing for easy removal to change your decor or for hand washing. Both front and back are visually appealing. Just turn over for a different look. If you are familiar with using a cable needle and working buttonholes you should have no trouble with this pattern. It has two different cable elements with a 16 row repeat. The pattern has row by row instructions, not a chart. Originally from the UK, and after almost 13 years in Texas, I now live in beautiful Colorado with my husband and sons. Easily outnumbered by boys in my house, I am queen of my little realm, hence the title Ladyship! Ever since my Mum taught me to knit and sew I have loved the creative process and experimenting with design. I find pillow covers to be the perfect way to combine my love of design and the textures that can be created with a single strand of yarn. I especially love experimenting with cable patterns.
