PATTERN DETAILS

When my daughter was born in September 2007, my mind was flooded with potential de- signs to keep her warm, yet fashionable. When the new Harmony Stitch Guides came out, I fell in love with the Tulip Lace pattern and decided to use it for this design. I think the top has a bohemian flair to it, and being a classical musician, I thought the name "Boheme" was perfect. Here in Colorado, you never know what the weather may bring. Boheme is a nice versatile top: for those warm Indian Summer afternoons, a little tank top would work underneath; a long sleeved t-shirt would be perfect for those crispy fall days, and for the chilly nights, a turtleneck would help keep your babe warm. I made my dad teach me how to knit the summer before I got married so that I could make all the women involved in my wedding small decorative scarves as thank you gifts. There were 12 women involved in my wedding. I should've known then that I was ambitious. I am a mother, musician, teacher, crafter who dabbles in knitwear design. I am the co-editor of the online knitting magazine, www.petitepurls.com . I'm also obsessed with clean, healthy eating, my child's education, and reading. You can find me on my soapbox about various topics at any given moment.
