This is the double knit version of the original Bilberry Shawl. I had several requests for a dk version and a fingering weight version (Winberry). It is set up differently and has different rows which maintain the design but give it a good size. The sample is made using Debbie Bliss Andes which gives it a lovely drape. I chose a deep blue colour and did not realise until I looked up the code that it is called Blueberry (code no 18), so a very apt name! This pattern is relatively easy, so it is suitable for a beginner knitter. Increases are by yarn overs, the body has sections of eyelets made by yarn overs and the edging is a simple picot cast off. It is an easy lace design. This is also available as part of the pattern collection - The Berry Shawl Collection, available here on Craftsy. Please note that the price of this pattern will increase to $5 on 1st September, to be consistent with prices on other wesbites. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY basic knitting skills - knit, purl, yo, k2tog SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approx 145cm by 70 cm when blocked
