I created this cowl with the free skein of Knit Pick's Biggo, I scored during their recent sale. So, free pattern. Seems fair. This is a fast and easy project, using a quickly memorized lace pattern. The cowl is knit flat, sideways and then the last row is seamed to the cast on edge, to make a tube. I used a 3 needle bind off, because I'm too lazy to sew, but you could sew the ends together with a mattress stitch, if you prefer. When it's worn, turn the sewn/bound off edge to the inside and put it at the back of the neck, so it's not obvious and doesn't disturb the drape. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knit and purl Yarn Overs and Knit two stitches together Sewing edges together Optional 3-needle bind off Optional provisional cast on GAUGE 2.75 stitches per inch SUGGESTED YARN 110 yards of Bulky weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Knit Picks Biggo COLORWAY red

My mom taught me to embroider when I was five, little knowing she was creating a craft monster at the time. Fifty years later, I'm still at it, beading, embroidering, knitting, and whatever else strikes my fancy at any given time.
