I've been asked many times to design a bear that is easier to assemble. Big Bear has his legs and body knitted as one piece which makes knitting him and sewing him together a lot easier. He sits easily and as there is a simple seam sewn across the top of his legs this makes his legs lovely and floppy. He even has a tail. He's a cuddly, soft big bear looking for someone special to love him. This pattern comes complete with very detailed photographed assembly instructions to help guide you through the process. I have designed several outfits for Big Bear which are not available with this pattern, there is another Big Bear pattern available that includes all his outfits. This PDF is for Big Bear only. Huggable Bears
I learnt the art of knitting when I was about 5 years old. Even at that age I was never happy to follow a pattern, always wanting to try something different. After a shoulder injury I found I couldn't knit anything heavy and out of sheer boredom I found myself knitting a bear. I didn't like the finished bear and thought I could do better myself so after a lot of frustrating frogging Huggable Bear was born. I love creating these bears and other animals, or should I say watching them create themselves, no two are ever alike. You may sell, raffle or donate any finished items created from any designs on this page. Due to the digital nature of downloads, unfortunately no refunds will be given.
