Express your style and individuality with this beautiful & intricately woven, basket weave hat. A hat like no other & design available only through CreatiKnit, everyone will want one too! You'll love how this fun pattern resembles a real woven basket! Weave your own basket in many different colors for a bold winter accessory. Want it in toddler and child sizes? Get it here: ~My inspiration for this hat pattern came from seeing entrelac knitting. Entrelac seemed so pretty, but very time consuming! I wanted a similar design, but without all of the work. That is how I created this basket weave pattern. I think you will love it! Worked in the round on circular needles and since it uses super bulky yarn, it can be knit up in a few hours! Uses size US13/9mm & US17/12mm circular knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge. Before I learned to knit or crochet, I remember seeing handmade garments and thinking to myself: "I could never do is way too complicated!" Then one day I got up the courage to try, and eventually got the hang of it! My first washcloth looked like something out of a horror film...LOL But after practicing, I grew to love it SO much!! There is so much you can do with two sticks and thread! The process of using your hands to create anything you want is just beautiful. Now, I love helping others learn to knit, and show them that they can do it too! I started my own website that can help you learn new stitches, and make those difficult looking techniques, SO easy! It really is a lot easier than you think. ;) Angela
