Pattern Details

The baby Tundra pattern is the perfect mix between a slipper and a baby bootie. The cuff is taller than in most baby booties--designed to keep a little one's ankles and lower legs warm in the colder months. Knit in rustic worsted weight wool for warmth and coziness, this boot both stays on securely and can be removed easily with the help of creative design and toggles. With a very simple, easy-to-pick-up cable pattern around the cuff, the Tundra is constructed from the sole up--working the sole flat, the shoe body in the round, the cable cuff flat and finally knitting both the shoe and the cuff together using the three needle bind off technique. This adds a beautiful twist between the shoe and the cuff. The Tundra is perfect for using up stash yarn and makes a unique gift for babies of all ages. Pattern includes helpful photos and instructions including notes on all the techniques described. This pattern is also available in toddler sizes: https://www.craftsy.com/pattern/knitting/Accessory/Toddler-Tundra-Boots/13391 BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit and purl increases and decreases cables three needle bind off GAUGE 6st/7rows = 1 inch in stockinette SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 0-3 months, 6-12 months, 18-24 months
