PATTERN DETAILS

This project is perfect for those odd yarn balls in your stash that are too big to discard but not quite big enough to complete other projects. However, you can make this sweater in one color, several shades of the same color, or in as many different colors as you like. Using the same weight classification, fiber content, tonal value (I used jewel tones in the sample because they were left over from a different project), and yarn brand will lend continuity to your finished product. However using yarns of different weights, fiber content, and yarn brands will give your project a unique character that even you can't duplicate! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY cast-on, knit stitch, pick-up stitches, bind-off (cast-off) GAUGE 14 stitches = 4" [10.2 cm] in garter stitch (knit every row). Row gauge not significant for this pattern. This project is perfect for those odd yarn balls in your stash that are too big to discard but not quite big enough to complete other projects. However, you can make this sweater in one color, several shades of the same color, or in as many different colors as you like. Note: If you are stash busting, consider starting with the needle size recommended by the yarn manufacturer of the heaviest weight yarn you plan to use to determine stitch gauge. The size 10 needles used in the sample are two sizes bigger than what is normally recommended for a #4 weight yarn. This was chosen purposefully to give the sweater a looser knit. Row gauge is not a concern because you are knitting the sweater sleeve edge to sleeve edge; thus, you will simply follow the measurements stated throughout the pattern. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Infant: 0-6 months (12 months; 18 months; 24 months) Finished chest measurements: 20 1/2 (21, 21 1/2, 22)" [53.3 (54.6, 55.9, 57.2) cm)] SUGGESTED YARN 300 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN N/A COLORWAY Whatever pleases you
