A knitting pattern for baby shoes with single strap and button fastening They are knit on two needles, and use worsted weight yarn (aran in UK) They have a garter stitch sole, toe cap and heel feature and can be knit for either a boy or a girl. They are quick and easy to knit using small amounts of yarn so you can make several pairs to match a variety of outfits. My patterns are written in standard US/ UK terms with clear instructions and plenty of pictures to guide you. SIZES: 0 - 3 months - approx length 3.75" (9 cm) 3 - 6 months - approx length 4" (10 cm) 6 - 9 months - approx length 4.25" (11 cm) REQUIREMENTS: 47 - 60 yards (43 - 55 metres) worsted weight yarn (aran in UK) Oddment of same weight yarn for contrast trim and strap US size 4 (3.5 mm) straight needles Two 3/8" (10 mm) buttons SKILLS NEEDED: knit purl increae decrease GAUGE 22sts and 44 rows to a 4x4" (10x10cm) square over garter stitch (every row knit) using US size 4 (3.5 mm needles)

Recommended with this pattern

  • 25-32 grams (47-60 yards) worsted weight yarn (aran for UK knitters)
