Fields of anemones swaying in the breeze, their simple beauty signifies that winter is finally over. Knit up your own colourful Anemone Fields shawl and watch it ripple in the wind as it flows from your shoulders. Anemone Fields is a crescent-shaped shawl. Instead of a visible center, the pattern cleverly incorporates increases within the lace itself. It requires 250-500 meters of lace or fingering weight yarn. The shawl is easily enlarged by adding additional repeats. Rainbow shawlette using 1 skein Shoppel-Wolle Zauberball 100 in Kunterbunt100% Merino, 437yd/400m per 100g on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles. Blocked size is 35 x 105 cm (14 x 41 inches). Gauge is 15 stitches per 10 cm in stockinette. Purple shawl using 2 skeins Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in Dahlia 100% merino, 420 yd/384 m per 100g skein on 4 mm (US 6) needles. Blocked size is 48 x 125 cm (19 x 49 inches). Gauge is 14 stitches per 10 cm in stockinette.
