PATTERN DETAILS

A delicate Victorian composition to drape over the shoulders or wrap around head and neck. Worked from hem to neck in three sizes (petite/medium/tall), the shawl features a dramatic horizontal hem, back panel in pine cone lace, and shoulder shaping for a lovely curving fit. Complex lace work throughout results in a sheer fabric with timeless beauty. Substituting yarn and/or needles will result in an overall variation in size. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit, purl, increase/decrease GAUGE 22 sts and 40 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needle (unblocked) SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 52(64, 72) inches wide across top edge and 17(22, 28) inches long at center back (blocked) SUGGESTED YARN 800 yards of Lace weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Fibre Isle Porcelaine COLORWAY Ivory
