Tropical tatted flower necklace

Who is this project for? Women What are you most proud of? The rings layered on top of the chains - I like the dimensional effect there. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I don't have the pattern written up yet, but hope to soon. I'll edit this description when the pattern is available. The main flower used just one shuttle and the ball of thread, so it's not that hard. The neck cord uses 2 shuttles and has split rings. But a metal jewelry chain could be substituted for the tatted one in order to have a flower pendant.

You Can Make This

Marilee Rockley made Tropical tatted flower necklace with:

  • A combination of several Flora threads and Lizbeth thread
  • all size 20. The beads are size 4mm
  • 3mm

Q&A with Marilee Rockley

DianeC asked:
What a gorgeous necklace!
Marilee Rockley answered:
Thanks! Luck was on my side with this one, it worked out nicely with just one go! Usually when designing a new pattern, I need to tat several "rough drafts" to adjust the stitch counts until they fit.
bvrlypauge asked:
Absolutely Stunning and Fun at the same time! The colors are glorious, great for Summer. Do you sell these? Not sure I'd have the patience or talent to do it!
Marilee Rockley answered:
Thanks! Currently I don't have any of this design for sale, but I have other tatted jewelry in my Etsy shop, yarnplayer.etsy.com
