Slightly Modified Mandala

Project Description

Who is this project for? Women What are you most proud of? It's always a win when I make a beaded bead or pendant and *don't* break a needle :-) I also really like the way the colors of my beaded pieces come together. If you put them in a bowl by themselves, you'd never think of using them together, but with the background image it all makes sense. I was able to make my Mandala using stash beads only, and it was easy to switch between 8/0 seed beads, 3mm fire polished rounds and 4mm bicones. I almost always use more seed bead colors than a tutorial calls for to emphasize the "geometry" of the design and the colors of the beads, and this one was fun & easy. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Watch out for those freaking sharp edges on the Czech Mates beads! Or please tell me what I'm doing wrong, since I always snap my thread on them...
