Who is this project for? Women What are you most proud of? Mary Tucker's gorgeous new lockets made me want to make lockets again (please have a look at them, she's wiredelements on facebook and flickr). This is a combination of her Locket Tutorial, the closure of her new "Locket for Mom", the hinge from her Trinket Box Tutorial (you can find free tutorials for the locket and the trinket box in the learning center of Mary's wiredelements website: http://wiredelements.com/learning-center/free-tutorials/) – and another one of my favorite designs, Perri Jackson's Rose of Sharon. For the rovoli in the center I've used a Rose of Sharon without the outer coils, like Perri did here: http://www.jewelrylessons.com/gallery/dahlia-volcano. The small one at the bottom is the one she teaches in her tutorial (http://www.etsy.com/listing/112055690/rose-of-sharon-coiled-faceted-birthstone). It's not one of the best RoSes I've ever made and I'll probably redo it, but all in all I love the locket. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Begin with Mary's Locket Tutorial and Perri Jackson's Rose of Sharon Tutorial. It needs some practice to combine them. But I think the Spiral Locket from Mary's tutorial with a Rose of Sharon at the bottom would alo look gorgeous.
