I wanted to create a very sculptural piece with the Tila beads and wanted to explore the idea of using these square beads in a round shape. The resulting component resembles a budding flower or a bursting star. This pattern also has the option of creating a stunning cocktail ring just by using one component and adding a strap rather than creating the entire bracelet. This 11-page PDF tutorial includes full-color illustrations and pictures to guide you in creating your own version of this bracelet. These instructions include the materials list to create the green iris version of this bracelet. The components can also be used to create smaller pieces such as a ring or earrings. Directions to complete the ring are included. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY A basic knowledge of beadweaving would be helpful. The pattern is completely unique however, and does not come from any set stitch. In order to create the band of the ring, you will need to be familiar with ladder stitch. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Final bracelet can be sized to fit wearer.

Recommended with this pattern

  • 8 grams Black Tila Beads
  • 10 grams green metallic iris seed beads size 11
  • 10 grams matte green iris seed beads size 11

My name is Marcie Abney Carroll and I started creating jewelry in 2007. A simple project to repair a simple beaded ring turned into a love of all things beadwoven and beaded in general. I've recently turned my attention toward metal and can be found most nights hammering away in my garage. If you'd like to learn more about me, please stop by my blog:
