Pattern Details

A delightful polymer clay cabochon in the shape of a sleepy smiling moon is framed in colourful soutache. Little crystal "rays" radiate from the top of the face almost like moon beams framing the moon face. A pretty cheerful cocktail ring that is bound to provide you with hours of delightful wear. Definitely a little conversation starter as well. Suitable for beginners learning the ancient art of soutache jewelry. A fast and fun project for those who are already familiar with the technique. Manek-Manek Beads
I did not start creating jewelry in the beginning. I started working with beads because I wanted to bead a pair of shoes in the style of the Peranakan (Malay and Chinese mix heritage) women who live in the South East Asian region. They have the most beautiful colors and designs and I wanted a pair of my own. Once I made the first pair, then a second, then a third. Then I discovered other kinds of beads and other methods of putting the beads together. You can say from then on there was no stopping me.
