This lovely Gingham bracelet is worked in authentic pondo stitch which is much more straight-forward than the pondo/African circle stitch seen in many magazines. No circling around the previous row, no weaving back to the start. Just work a row, turn the work and work the next row. I've designed this bracelet to attach to two ndebele (herringbone) ropes. On the pattern pages, I have provided you with: Picture of the finished product Complete illustrated instructions for the ndebele rope Complete illustrated instructions for authentic pondo stitch. Complete illustrated instructions for the bracelet and attaching it to the ropes as you work the bracelet Graphs of the design Complete illustrated instructions for the toggle and ring Approximate Finished size: 1.5 inches wide 7.75 inches long including closure Supplies Used: size 11 seed beads in 4 colors Technique: authentic pondo and ndebele for the bracelet, peyote and brick for the ring and toggle Pages to Print: 11 Skill Level: Advanced beginner up. It helps to have some knowledge of peyote and brick stitch and how to tie in thread, tie off and weave in the tails.
