Pattern Details

Chinese dragons are legendary creatures in Chinese mythology and folklore. Dragons are typically portrayed as long, scaled, serpentine creatures with four legs. Traditionally they symbolize potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, hurricane, and floods. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength, and good luck. The 2-hole lentils standing on its end resembles the scales of the all-powerful dragon. Laid out in an inter-locking pattern this cuff is elegant and slinky while at the same time strong and sturdy just like the dragon. COPYRIGHT All rights reserved. Manek-Manek Beads
I did not start creating jewelry in the beginning. I started working with beads because I wanted to bead a pair of shoes in the style of the Peranakan (Malay and Chinese mix heritage) women who live in the South East Asian region. They have the most beautiful colors and designs and I wanted a pair of my own. Once I made the first pair, then a second, then a third. Then I discovered other kinds of beads and other methods of putting the beads together. You can say from then on there was no stopping me.
