PATTERN DETAILS

In this tutorial, you will learn how to convert any shape or size cabochon into a beautifully bead embroidered focal pendant on a matching beaded necklace. This is a beginner's project; no previous knowledge of bead embroidery is required. We will guide you through each step along the way, until you have completely finished this beautiful project. The technique of bead embroidery is nothing new; as a matter of fact it has been around for a very long time. For this reason we do not claim any ownership of the technique nor of general design idea of a bead-encircled cabochon. However, we have broken down each part of the process into simple, easy steps, showing each move and detail with clear, close-up pictures and accompanying instructions. By doing this, it has been possible to simplify this technique and make it easily accessible for beginners. In addition, the stringing of the necklace, into which this focal pendant has been seamlessly incorporated, is geared towards the beginner, with every step clearly shown and explained. All measurements throughout this tutorial are given in both imperial and metric units. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY We give you step by step instructions with photos for each step..

We have been doing wire work for about 10 years or better. I saw my first piece of wire wrapped jewelry at a Rock and Gem show. I fell in love with all the pendants and rings all wrapped in wire. I really haven't looked back since then. Today my husband and I own a small retail bead/rock shop in our home town and we have just finished our first book which will be on Amazon.com and in our store, which we sell at all the Rock & Gem shows around our neck of the woods. Book name is " Making Memories" By Al & Jackie Koppany, published by Feelingstone Gifts LLC We have more books in the making and have over 25 wire wrapped tutorials published.
