These ballet slippers won't pinch your toes, but they will get attention. Use brick or peyote stitch to make them in 4 lovely shades of "Ballet Pink" Delica beads. These match my recent Ballet Slipper Bracelet and Pen Sleeve patterns. The beaded slippers have beaded fringes that sway like softly flowing ribbons. The small beaded slipper would also make a nice beaded charm. I learned to sew before I went to school. My mother, grandmother and aunt sewed everyday. I ran a needle through my right index finger early on, but have never done it again. I am self taught in many craft fields. My most recent is beadweaving. I think I have finally found my passion. I love the feel and look of tiny cylinder beads worked in peyote stitch into a wonderful mosaic of colorful design. Other beads and other stitches are interesting and lovely.,But beadwoven peyote is what I enjoy most.
