Q&A with krislynn

AnnieNimIty asked:
What kind of wood did you use? What would you do different, and what are you really happy with?
krislynn answered:
The wood is oak, reclaimed from a job site my husband was on. I not sure that I would do anything different. I love the height of the beds! Thanks for asking
Cub22 asked:

Cub22 asked:
What are the large PVC pipes for? What all did you plant in your beds?
krislynn answered:
I have planted the 3 sister planting (corn, beans and squash. The pvc is for the red wiggler worms and the waste from my kitchen along with paper. Pretty cool!
PattiBlount asked:
I want to know more about the red worm pvcs. Are there holes drilled in the bottom/sides? Do you just dump the food waste and paper in as you use it? Why is it in the bed?
krislynn answered:
The wholes are drilled up the tube 1/3 of the way up and all the way around the tube. The tubes are in the bed because I put scraps from my kitchen (veggie and fruits) in the tube and the worms come and eat and then they leave their waste in the beds. This is great for organic matter. Hope that answers your questions! Thanks for asking.
