Q&A with suzy6281

lgthomas53476167 asked:
What type gourd did you use? Love gourds and paisley.
suzy6281 answered:
They are called "Martin" gourds. I buy them through ebay
Daisy McDow asked:
I planted gourds, cut out a hole and they all molded. I threw them away...gave up the idea... were they suppose to mold?
suzy6281 answered:
I buy already dried gourds off of Ebay, so I'm not sure of the process. I do know that uncleaned gourds have a dry mold on the outside that has to be scrubbed off to reveal the shiny, hard outside.
Mark Ansell asked:
Can they be purchased ?
suzy6281 answered:
Yes! What is left of my latest batch can be purchased here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SuzysSitcomStore
c_buttry5273212 asked:
Did you wax or put some sort of overlay on top of painted surface? Thanks, CKB
suzy6281 answered:
The birds are coated with clear acrylic sealant.
Anna Mochen asked:
Were do I get the dry Ford??
suzy6281 answered:
I purchase my dried gourds from a local farm.
