Sisters

What are you most proud of? After removing the back ground in Photoshop I discovered that PE Next decided there was more than one color of black. I went back into Photoshop and used the paint bucket to darken the whole silhouettes. It worked. I auto digitized the pictures, then cleaned it up a little. I had the two girls separate, but decided to combine them for the final. What advice would you give someone starting this project? When you can, go with your heart with projects. This was the original idea I had for the class, but I fooled with the camera and such but my mind kept going back to this original idea. Yes, it did take a while to remember where I had stored the silhouettes. I am not 100% happy with the results but intend on working with it at a later date when I decide what to put them on.

  • Metzler Poly Embroidery Thread and plain white cotton. The second two pictures are the originals. They were hand cut silhouettes and the year was 1977.
