Project

Polar Bears Santa Cross Stitch

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The fact that this used a variety of different stitches, and I managed them all. Not necessarily well, but I managed them! :) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Work quickly when using dark fabric. 9 years tends to fade the color. :)

What you will need

  • Aida cloth
  • DMC Embroidery Thread

If you have compleated your project, which is beautiful,, may I purchase the pattern from you? I would also buy a copy of the pattern.? It is exciting to see the design pop up on a page when I tried sooo hard to find it Michelle Strait mimistrait@gmail.com

Where can I get the pattern?
Janci76 answered:
I'm sorry, I don't know. I actually had an unused second kit last year, but I sold it to Michelle (above comments). I do see the kit come across Ebay every so often, but that is the only place I've seen it available since they stopped producing it. I'm sorry I can't help more!
Barblt271 asked:
I live in Canada and also think this is a beautiful project. I would love to be able find this pattern as well. Any suggestions?
Janci76 answered:
The designer's name is Lynn Bywaters. This was put out by Leisure Arts, and the name of the pattern is Polar Santa. There is a Christmas Stocking kit with part of this design on it up for sale right now on Ebay. Also occasionally I see the full kit come up for sale on either Ebay or Etsy. Unfortunately, those are the only places I have seen it for sale, as it's out of print. My only other thought would be at a library maybe? Or for sale on one of the stitchers' forums? Sorry I can't be of more help, and good luck!

Thank you for your quick reply. Happy New Year

To you also! :)
