Q&A with Sarah Becker

Cloudsdancer asked:
This is just beautiful!
Sarah Becker answered:
Thank you! This design has me hooked on stitching Wysocki designs now. I'm currently working on two more of his, I am such a fan! His artwork is so beautiful and nostalgic.
Pieceful1 asked:
WOW! How long did it take to do this? Just amazing work!
Sarah Becker answered:
Thanks! It took me about 4 months of working on it every day for at least 4 hours in the evening. It was a fun one to do :)
cookin4u31754539 asked:
P.S. I think the darker Mauve/ ?burgundy matting you used and your dark frame looks much better and adds so much more to the finished product than the mat they show it framed in , in the kit advertisement! Michelle
Sarah Becker answered:
Thank you Michelle! I always find deciding on how to frame them is always the hardest part of the whole project! Sorry I it has taken me this long to respond to your lovely comments, I have only just seen them! This kit was counted, as are all my cross stitch projects. I do know of a really lovely wysocki kit of a general store, I think, that is printed on the fabric. I have always wanted to do it myself but I prefer the counted kind. I usually cross stitch as a break from quilting and other crafts where I make up the design as I go along. Sometimes its nice to just be able to take advantage of someone else's creativity. Even though I am Australian, not American, wysocki is my favourite artist and I have half a dozen of his kits, they are always fun to do because the designs are so busy
