Lena's Miniature Dachshund Bandana

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Lena. Doesn't she look adorable in her new bandana? What advice would you give someone starting this project? I measured Lena's neck circumference and added 2 inches. The total came to 12 inches. I cut a 12 inch square of fabric, then folded it in half, forming two triangles. I marked the center point of one of the triangles and centered the embroidery on that. Once that was done and the stabilizer was removed (I used tear away), I placed the right sides together and sewed the three seams (of course I left about a 3 inch space for turning the fabric). Then I turned it right side out and gave it a good pressing. All that was left to do was to edge stitch around all three sides and sew on the hook and loop tape. EASY AND FUN!

What you will need

  • Cotton fabric
  • embroidery thread
  • sewing thread
  • downloaded machine embroidery design
  • hook and loop tape ... and my much loved Brother 950 D embroidery machine.

Q&A with Lenas Legacy

pomm981098 asked:
So cute! Would be a great gift for my aunt. Would you care sharing the website for the free pattern?
Lenas Legacy answered:
Sure! I got it at embroiderydesigns.com.
MichellePattern asked:
Lena is adorable in her bandana!
Lenas Legacy answered:
Thank you! But I must admit, the bandana doesn't make her adorable. She's one of those lucky ones who come by cuteness naturally.
