IPad carrying case

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Since the bag that I needed to make was larger then the cut work design, I had to make some adaptations to the embroidery. I knew that I wanted a flap, so I managed to take the original bag design and morph it with the design that was in my head. I had been hoarding this fabric for a couple of years, and was so pleased with the final result, since I am not a pattern designer. This was my first attempt at trying to do something so ambitious, what with adjusting the embroidery and designing the actual bag.

What you will need

  • I had been saving some fabric for a special project and when I signed up for the cut work embroidery class
  • I just HAD to make a case for my iPad from the bag embroidery design that came with the course. The fabric was sandwiched and quilted in a wavy design
  • then the scallops were machine embroidered. I added two pockets
  • a hidden zipper
  • and a wrist strap to complete the case.

I love what you did with the bag. The additional pockets are great. I keep looking at the bag I did and think that I should be able to expand on it. I have no excuse now. TY for sharing.
