The crewelwork pin cushion is part of a small collection of needlework accessories that I have called 'Tulipa' that was inspired by the pattern on an old Hungarian plate - only stitched in much brighter colours. 'Tulipa' pin cushion is a fabulous little project, if you are new to crewel work, want to try few different stitches or are looking for a quick, small project. The pincushion will look fabulous with the scissor case to match. This pattern contains full size embroidery design, clear colour photographs and diagrams and detailed instructions to guide you step-by-step through stitching this design. Crewel embroidery is one of my favourite embroidery techniques. From the traditional Jacobean to the more contemporary, I love to play with colour, design and texture there is so much to explore. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic embroidery stitches SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS The pin cushion measures 10cm (4") square

My life is in stitches - literally!. I stitch whenever I can find the time – or make time. When I don't embroider, I am most likely thinking about it. I have been designing, stitching and teaching for quite some time now. Many of my designs have been published in Inspirations magazine and other embroidery books. I recently started a blog - mostly to keep track of what I get up to, what inspires me and what I achieve. It is great fun. I would love it if you pop by and have a look Please leave me a comment to let me know you have stopped by.
