The Temari complex 10 division is seen as being difficult to do, but it is the basis for thousands of the most beautiful and intricate designs. Actually, it isn't that hard and my Tutorial teamed with the printable V-ruler that comes with it make the whole thing much easier. The Japanese V-ruler is made of plastic and makes the marking process much more accurate and easier than the usual paper tape method. But, the plastic V-rulers are hard to get and they become brittle quite quickly and then snap. My printable ones can be renewed as many times as you need, for ever, and my easy-to follow Tutorial makes marking a C10 a breeze! ****PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE PRINTING!!!!!**** Just a word regarding the V-ruler. In order for it to be accurate, you must print the page out at an A5 setting. If you don't have this on your printer setup program, use the custom paper size 5.8 x 8.3 inches, or 148 x 210 millimetres, with no scaling applied. You can then print on ordinary letter-size paper or whatever you use, but the ruler should be scaled properly. Try a test print on ordinary paper - the millimetres on the printed ruler should coincide exactly with a mm ruler. Then print the ruler on the thickest card your printer will take, laminate it or cover with clear sticky plastic and cut out. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Wrap a ball

My mother taught me to knit at age 4 and I haven't stopped crafting since! I work at a variety of crafts and also write tutorials to help others to find new skills or brush up on existing ones. In 'real life' I'm a qualified antiques restorer. I am fascinated by Japanese Temari and have written a number of tutorials in English to help non-Japanese stitchers to create some of the amazing designs. Although the tutorials are ranked into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, Temari from the upper two levels can quite easily be worked by stitchers with little experience of the craft, as the tutorials give very detailed, step-by-step instructions. Full support is given by email for all my tutorials. If you have a problem stitching your project, drop me a line and we'll solve it together.
