I'm celebrating the return of the songbirds to the frozen north country - how I've missed them! My little bluebird is wearing a flower crown, and singing her little heart out. I've crayoned her onto a vintage sheet, and will be adding her as a quilt block in my vintage sheet quilt. I've given you a list of crayon and embroidery floss colors that I used, although I highly recommend you match your colors to whatever fabric you'll be bordering your songbird with. I've also supplied a link to a crayoning tutorial on my blog - it's easy, honest! And really fun! It also helps my songbird to stand out against the vintage sheet colors. I love the way the vintage sheet shows through the coloring - it just adds so much interest. I hope you enjoy stitching her!
